Lengthen Your Lashes @ LuxLash

Lash Extensions are all the rage right now, and there’s no better place to get yours than at LuxLash (232 Newbury Street). Yes, they charge a startling $400 per application, but also boast phenomenal results. (Think long, luscious lashes that stay put for about a month, allowing you to take a much-needed vacation from those clumpy little spiders of yours.) Some salons do charge less, but I’ve seen their work and it doesn’t compare; you’ll look like a drag queen for a few days, and then your lashes will fall out onto your cheeks and make them look oddly hairy.

I booked my appointment for next week. Apparently, I just have to sit still with my eyes closed for about an hour while a professional carefully glues individual lashes to my own. Some women get manicures and pedicures at this time. I’d like to find those women and slap them. I hate rich people; they make me so damn jealous! I have to live on canned tuna for the next two weeks because of this expense. It’s so worth it, though…imagine stepping out of your morning shower with a pair of ridiculously thick, jet black eyelashes. As for the tuna diet, I’ll make do…and hey, possibly even lose a few pounds! Between you and me, I wouldn’t be mad if I could pull off a size 0.

One week later…

Update: WHOOPS! I spent all my money in NYC. Then I spent another $350, so I’m in a bit of a “situation” right now, and $400 eyelashes probably aren’t a good plan. Also, the tuna diet ended up turning into a girl scout cookie diet, which hasn’t given me the best results. All in all, my advice concerning lash extensions is as follows: if you’re filthy rich then go for it, but stay away from me if you choose to because my jealousy may lead to violence.
